I met up with some #ldnont Discord server peeps tonight and made reference to 2007 London Twitter.
I was looked at like I had three heads, and like I was a thousand years old.
I’ve entered my old white man, I remember the days when…, phase.
Ps. 2007 was 18(!) years ago.
Gotta give thanks to Brown and Dickson for consistently sending out some of the most entertaining (local) reading I take in. Here is today’s contribution:
“Thank the students of London. Seriously, without them, our town slogan would be “Brantford: With More Drugs.” The college and university drive the bus around here, employing every smart alec artsy Joe in driving distance. To you, the adjuncts and partial-loads, the TAs and administrators, we tip our hats. Please take advantage of this sale. You are our best customers, and we love you.”
Having spent a total of 6 hours in the past 36 hours shoveling snow, it feels good to come home after a long day of work and not need to spend more time outside digging our home out of the first big snowfall.
We live in Canada, and in a snow belt, so this dumping of snow shouldn't be a surprise. However, with climate change and global warming winter scenes lie we're currently having are fewer and far between as the years past.
